Supersonic Shots, also called supershots or quick shots, are faster throws than standard throws. They are emblematic of the game by their visual effect which doubles the frisbee and by the different cries of the characters who make them.
Supershots are extremely useful in the game, and are used both in attack and defense. They make it possible to vary the rhythm of the game and to regain the advantage in the exchange as long as the player has been able to read the trajectory of the opponent's throw quickly enough.
They are significantly harder to stop when thrown from the net because the opponent has less time to react.
How to take a supershot[]
Rapid shots are performed by pressing the A button directly after receiving the disc. For each character, the speed of the frisbee launched with a supersonic shot is 9 pixels per frame.
Rapid fire is compatible with curves. Thus, by entering two consecutive directions before pressing A with the right timing, it is possible to achieve a supershot with effect.
It is possible to use the supershot using the negative edge (by releasing A rather than pressing) in order to avoid performing a toss by accident.
Note that if the player is largely behind in points, he benefits from a quick shot on serve, which is impossible to obtain otherwise. In the same way as for a classic supershot, just press A as soon as you receive the frisbee.
Timing[]
The timing for performing a quick shot changes depending on the character and the timer. Thus, the further the player is behind in points and the closer the time is to zero, the easier it is to achieve a supershot. The game can also grant one or two extra frames to launch a supershot depending on the time remaining. The most determining variable remains the score.
Other minor parameters are taken into account when calculating the supershot window: the latter is more difficult to achieve during the first two exchanges of the set or if the opponent has not entered any commands in the game.
